Safety is Worth the Investment for Survivors of Domestic and Sexual Violence

Imagine what it would be like to live in fear every minute of your life, even while you're sleeping.

Daily, parents like Suzanne flee their abusers after being strangled and assaulted. Escaping with her children and no other place to go, Suzanne was able to take shelter in one of our safehouse rooms, giving her some peace of mind.

In 2022 alone, 216 Texans died at the very hands of someone who claimed to love them—most in their own homes. Thankfully, Suzanne and her children didn’t have to experience what can happen when survivors and kids have nowhere to go.

Your gift of $35 ensures a night of safety for a single parent or child.

You can help to raise $150,000 by December 31, 2024, to provide needed resources and shelter to families just like Suzanne’s. Currently, there are 30 women and men and 38 children residing here in the Family Crisis Center’s safehouse and transitional housing. Every single one is extremely important to us, and we know they are important to you.
